Adam McCullough is an architectural designer in Western New York who works with Arch&Type on a variety of building projects in and around the city of Buffalo.

Having studied English & Creative Writing for his Bachelor degree and several years of work, Adam returned to school for architecture. He attained his M.Arch. from the Buffalo School of Architecture & Planning, where he focused largely on material culture, with some investigations into urban planning & ecological practice.

Adam has designed and worked on design teams for several built projects in Buffalo and around the US. With Arch&Type, Adam was able to bring his furniture design practice into the building process by contributing several bespoke furniture elements to a local chocolatier, including the sale station, the white oak base for the marble work surface, & four Saldo shelves.

With McCullough Design, Adam’s goal is to craft simple, elegant pieces of wood & metal which add a calm curiosity to spaces through their genuine expression of materiality. The Sieni collection cemented this project, and more recent collections have built thereupon.
